The honeymoon is a time in your life that you will want to remember forever. It is the beginning of your life together as husband and wife. Like the rest of your wedding, it needs careful consideration and planning. It's important for both of you to decide what type of honeymoon you would like.

Here are a few things to think about.

How long do you want to go for? Do you want a long honeymoon or just a few days? Once you have decided the destination of your honeymoon it is very important to get advice. This could be from family and friends who have been there before or, more commonly, from a travel agent. Travel agents are a great place to go as they will have brochures and contacts for the areas you are interested in. Check things like the weather or if there is a need for visas and vaccinations.Can I get the time off work?

This may sound silly but it has been known for a honeymoon to be booked on impulse and then found that time off from work is not permitted. Always check with your work place that the time is available - if in doubt get it in writing.
