Below are few tips to think about when choosing someone to capture your day.
Experience: Has the person attended weddings before? Are they professional, do they do this for a living or is it just a hobby.
Photographer/Videographer: Check that the person you are talking to is the person that will be there on the day. Ask if there is a replacement should they be ill and meet that person also.
Back up: Do they have back up equipment and is it of the same quality.
Style: Have you got a personal style in mind for your photographs or video, formal, informal. Make sure they knows what you want, if in doubt don’t be scared to ask for their advice.
References: Ask for references and check them out personally. Photographer’s who don’t have references or are afraid to give them may not be who you want for your big day.
Price: Check exactly what you are getting for your money. Ask about the packages that they offer, can they be customised to suite your requirements. Be sure you understand what everything cost. How long will it take to get your video and/or pictures
Your Contract – Do make sure you understand the contract. Is it fair? Do not be embarrassed to ask questions.
